Lesson 119: A Flawed Society Cannot Succeed
There are two reasons why an unnatural society based on fiat law will ultimately fail.
The first reason concerns the process of self organization. A self organizing complex adaptive system cannot be made to work better but it can be made to stop working altogether. The Federal Reserve is a good example of this flaw.
The second reason has to do with natural law. According to natural law there are natural rights and natural wrongs. When fiat law turns what is naturally right into what is legally wrong and proceeds to enforce that law with penalties and punishment there will be conflict and violence. The so-called Drug War is a good example of this flaw.
Reently I watched a TV program about the extraordinarily difficult demoliton of a seventy seven million dollar thirty three story hurricane proof semi finished condo building on San Padre Island Texas.
It had been built on a faulty foundation and was starting to lean over in a very exclusive neighborhood. It had to be demolished before it fell down on its own and destroyed the surrounding houses.
If a society is built on a faulty foundation which ignores natural law it will also either self destruct or have to be torn down.
A society based on natural law has a solid foundation upon which to build a just society but moving in that direction has been successfully thwarted by power seekers who use propaganda and the threat of violence to protect and expand their power.
