Lesson 118: The People Vs The Power Seekers

Why do normal people allow power seekers to have power over them? One reason is that power seekers control the news media and much of the education system. Both can be used for propaganda. Another reason is that power seekers also control the military and the police. A single individual or even a militia would be committing suicide to go up against them.

But a more basic reason may be human nature. Most people trust authority automatically. Evolutionoary psychologists may be able to explain that. They do not realize that authority is just obedience to power seekers.

Imagine living in the natural society where bizarre and dangerous power seekers can only seek but never find the power they crave.

Removing power seekers from power and replacing them with other power seekers has not worked. Returning to a more natural society such as we had in the United States before 1913 requires removing power from the power seekers. Decentralizing authority is a step in that direction.
